Refuse collection/cleaning points

Temps de lecture : 3 minutes

Points propreté are equipped and guarded waste collection centers where you can dispose of all kinds of waste. The Pass Métropole card is essential for access to the points propreté.

Please note:

  • Cleaning points are closed on public holidays.
  • Cleaning points are equipped with gantries reserving access to passenger vehicles or small vans only. Large volumes (over 1 m3) can no longer be deposited there.

For other non-reusable waste, you can dispose of:

Industrial waste

For industrial waste, users, both professionals and private individuals, are invited to use specific recycling channels. 12 sites across the region have been identified, each accepting different categories of waste (plants, wood, cardboard, bulky items, scrap metal, special waste, tires, etc.

).

The right gestures

Here are a few tips for reducing waste from grass clippings, hedge trimmings and other green waste:

  • Composting: place your waste in a pile in a corner of your garden. It will compost naturally. Turn the pile periodically and water it if it's too dry.
  • Shredding with a lawnmower: spread your small waste in a thin layer, including branches up to a cm in diameter. Run the mower over them slowly. The shredded material can be used as mulch or for your composter.
  • Mulching : keep your grass clippings on the lawn to nourish it.
  • Mulching: to protect and fertilize your soil, place dried grass clippings, dead leaves and branches at the foot of hedges, flower beds or vegetable garden plants.
  • As far as possible, limit your production of green waste by postponing your gardening and pruning work.
  • Toxic waste (solvents, paints...) must never be disposed of in the grey garbage can.

Before you throw things away, think about reuse!

Do you have items in good condition that you no longer need? Think about reuse!

How does it work?

  1. Bring in your objects in good condition
  2. Your objects are recovered by an association
  3. They are refurbished and resold at a fair price

What objects are eligible?

  • Small furniture
  • Dishes and decorative items
  • Small functional household appliances
  • Games, toys, bicycles
  • Sports equipment
  • Untreated solid wood
