Grants and calls for projects

The Metropole and City of Montpellier actively support sports associations that contribute to territorial dynamics. With this in mind, an annual subsidy application campaign has been set up to support projects and activities of interest to the territory.

2026 subsidy campaign

The digital campaign for 2026 grant applications is open from February 17 to April 30, 2025:

This is the 3rd 100% digital campaign carried out through the City and Metropolis of Montpellier's Grants Portal, where each structure has a User account for submitting and tracking its applications. The Aides Portal is an online platform for submitting, investigating and processing grant applications.

This platform makes it possible:

  • To create and manage a User account for submitting and tracking applications;
  • To benefit from a simplified, centralized process for all administrative procedures: submitting, investigating and processing grant applications

An accompanying guide is available opposite.

How do I apply?

  1. Go to the Portail des Aides to complete the online form.
  2. Complete the grant application form and the specific forms corresponding to your request.
  3. Submit all required documents by the deadline.

Eligibility criteria

Associations must meet the following criteria:

  • Fall within Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole's areas of competence.
  • Propose missions or projects of direct interest to the territory.
  • Respect the obligations associated with the use of funding, particularly in terms of transparency and communication.

Applications are examined by thematic commissions before final approval by the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Council.

Aid payments will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions defined in a prior agreement. In addition, the Metropole of Montpellier reserves the right to monitor the use of the funding granted on the basis of the documents submitted or any other documents requested from the beneficiary.

Monitoring and controlling the use of subsidies

Beneficiary associations must comply with the following rules:

  • Financial transparency : accept technical and financial control at any time by a representative mandated by the Metropole.
This control, on documents or on site, may be exercised, at any time, by any person duly mandated by the President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
As such, the beneficiary undertakes, on the one hand, to hand over any document required for this inspection upon simple request by Montpellier Métropole and, on the other hand, to allow access to its premises for the purposes of this inspection.
  • Publicity of funding: mention the Metropole's participation on all communication media related to the subsidized project or activity.
Publicity rules will be specified in the agreement or in the decree awarding the subsidy.

In the event of non-compliance with obligations, partial or total repayment of funding may be demanded.
