Application for a permanent public house

Any opening, mutation, or transfer of an on-premises drinking establishment, requires a prior declaration for authorization.

To make this declaration, you must obligatorily send the license application form as well as the supporting documents requested according to the license category desired by email to licence.derogationtardive@montpellier.fr

You must also make a declaration to the Town Hall, at least 15 days before any opening. To do this, please bring all the documents you need to prove your status as operator.

Les débits de boissons souhaitant demander des autorisations exceptionnelles d’ouverture tardives sont priées d’envoyer le « formulaire de dérogation exceptionnelle » dument rempli à l’adresse suivante : licence.derogationtardive@montpellier.fr 

Application for a temporary public house

Are you an association, individual or company? You can open a temporary drinks outlet (buvette). Temporary drinks outlets may not be established within 50 m of health, educational and leisure establishments, stadiums, swimming pools and public or private sports grounds.

Only drinks belonging to categories 1 and 3 may be sold or distributed as part of a temporary buvette.

To make your request, you must fill in the temporary drinks outlet application form and send it to the Régulation des Occupations Commerciales et Évènementielles department, 3 months before the date of the event, at this e-mail address: manifestation.temporaire@montpellier.fr
