Objectives
Returning Place Saint-Denis to pedestrians
With line 5, Place Saint-Denis will be pedestrianized. The square will become a pedestrian interchange between line 5 and line 3. The development will showcase the Saint-Denis church.
A new, active and calmed Avenue Clemenceau
The arrival of the tramway will extend the city center and create a shopping avenue, beautified and calmed.
An exceptional service to the heart of the district with 3 new stations:
- Place du 8 mai 1945,
- Parc Clemenceau: connection with lines 2 and 4 at Rondelet station,
- Saint-Denis: connection with line 3.
Transit traffic will be eliminated in favor of local service. Access to downtown parking lots will be redesigned and made more legible in line with the new traffic plan.
More than 25 trees have been planted and the entrance to Parc Clemenceau will be improved.
Transforming the Place du 8 mai 1945 into a genuine public space for living
Today a road junction, the Place du 8 mai 1945 will host a tramway station and will be redesigned to benefit pedestrians with wide benches and tree-lined spaces to enable new uses. The link to Avenue Lepic and the Cité Créative will be strengthened. The area around the Daudet and Curie schools will be made safer.
