Sort packaging and paper

What types of waste are concerned?

Waste to put in your yellow bin, yellow bag or voluntary drop-off points:

  • All plastic packaging: bottles, flasks, jars, trays, film, sachets...
  • All small steel or aluminium packaging:bottle caps, coffee capsules, empty medicine packets....
  • All other dry recyclable waste: paper, newspapers, magazines, metal packaging, aerosols, food bricks, cardboard...

No more questions to ask: all packaging goes in the yellow garbage can!

By accepting more packaging, my yellow bin can gain in volume, while my grey garbage can will decrease.

Collection and voluntary drop-off points

In Montpellier: voluntary drop-off points

In Montpellier's écusson and suburbs, you should deposit your sorted packaging and paper, as well as your folded cardboard, in the collective yellow bins installed in your neighborhood.

In other communes: collection

Some communes in the metropole still use yellow bags, which can be collected from the guichets uniques (Métropolitain reception offices in Town Halls) and collected door-to-door.

Special case of horse-drawn collection in Vendargues: yellow bags are distributed on a fixed date every 6 months.
