Support for top-level athletes

This scheme is aimed at young talent and accomplished amateur athletes from Metropolitan clubs, to support their progression in national and international competitions.

Amount of aid: up to €1,500 per year, depending on level and sporting results (ministerial lists or official titles).

Main conditions

• Be licensed with a Metropolitan club for at least one full season.
• Be registered on the ministerial high-level lists or have obtained a French, European or World championship title in a discipline not recognized as high-level.
• Be an amateur or trainee in the process of becoming a professional.

Award procedures

A file must be submitted online, accompanied by supporting documents (license, prize list, budget, press review, etc.). A commission of experts will analyze the applications before validation by the Metropolitan Council.

Supporting documents

• Supporting documents to be provided:
  • Athlete's ID,
  • Guardian's ID for a minor athlete,
  • Attestation of registration on the ministerial list issued by the Ministry of Sports,
  • French, European, World champion(s) title(s) from the most recent championship to date,
  • Professionalization trainee contract,
  • Sports license mentioning the club and current sports season,
  • Bank ID statement of the athlete or his/her guardian for minors,
  • Annual budget dedicated to the sports season (downloadable model),
  • Sports achievements & objectives (downloadable model),
  • Press review,
  • Motivation for request (free post).

This scheme will be offered again in 2026.
