Social worker for Traveller Reception Areas (F/H)

Your work is at the heart of the Montpellier Metropolitan Council's policy for welcoming Travellers. Four 40-place reception areas, 12 family plots in Pignan and three large-scale stopping places in Lattes, Pérols and Fabrègues are managed by the Travelling People Department, part of the Housing and Residential Paths Department. You will be part of a team comprising a manager and a maintenance worker. You will be supported by an area coordinator and an administrative manager.
Vos principales missions
- Reception of the public
- Social support for families at reception sites (file management, intervention with organizations...)
- Participation in the management of the social center for Travelers (permanence, postal domiciliation, follow-up of family files)
- Organize the arrival on site of Travelers and their departure on the administrative level (limit administrative, school, financial breaks....)
- Provide presence and availability to the public during defined site opening hours
- Organize group and/or children's activities
- Occasionally : Deputising for the site manager and temporarily replacing the social advisor at another site.

Les indispensables
- Graduated social worker, social and family economics advisor or specialized educator
- Cadre d'emplois des assistants socio-éducatifs - Catégorie A
- Good knowledge of the problems and issues associated with Travellers and their way of life, particularly itinerancy.
- Mastery of animation, mediation and intervention techniques for people who speak little or no French
- Ability to coordinate projects, ensure reporting and administrative and financial management
- Permis B essential.
