The Rond Point des Près d'Arènes marks the southern entrance to the town and is the meeting point of two major traffic arteries, the route de Palavas and the A9 freeway.
The fountain is set in the center of the roundabout's median strip and consists of a 27m-diameter basin from which gush a 25m-high water jet, 6 12m jets and 12 5m jets. Water from the basin flows via a waterfall into a second basin 1m lower and 5m wider. The structure is illuminated at night by 51 spotlights.
