To complete the development of the Antigone district, the city of Montpellier wanted to create a fountain in the center of the Place du Nombre d'Or. This 9,000 m² square is bordered by around 300 housing units. A pedestrian axis links this square to the Lez to the east, and to the historic center to the west.
The fountain is made up of lines of jets spouting directly from the ground. They are inscribed in a square, with no basin or construction, according to the principle of "dry" fountains, so as not to neutralize the square.
The jets, illuminated in white, vary in height from 0 to 15 meters. They move according to a changing choreography that constitutes an ever-renewed and modular show.
