Epidemic and pandemic risk
An epidemic is limited to a very specific geographical region. It can therefore become a pandemic, if the disease is not managed in time.
Epidemic VS pandemic
- An epidemic corresponds to the rapid development and progression of a contagious disease, most often of infectious origin, in a population (example: influenza, H1N1, Ebola, Measles, etc.).)
- A pandemic corresponds to an epidemic affecting the entire population of a continent, or even the entire world (e.g. Plague, Spanish flu, Cholera, AIDS, COVID-19, etc.
Adopt the right reflexes
- Wash your hands.
- Respect physical distancing.
- Wear a mask.
- Use single-use tissues.
These barrier gestures may vary depending on your state of health, the collective risk and national postures.
